I have diabetes, and as my condition worsened I had to have half of my leg amputated. My situation is complicated by my asthma. To make matters even worse, I’m from Spain, and I don’t speak a word of English. How would I ever be able to rehab if I couldn’t understand my therapists?
Answer: Martine Center. The facility has Spanish-speaking staff, and they were always there to help take care of me. I don’t need to speak English to realize that the therapists at Martine Center are amazing. I could feel myself getting stronger every day. And, by the way, my room is beautiful and contemporary.
I’ll have my prosthetics soon, which means I’ll be able to walk on my own. Maybe I’ll run a marathon! So, I have two words for the team at Martine Center: Muchas gracias.
