I’ve always been an active guy, involved in sports from the time I was in high school. But all that activity finally caught up with me. My hip was shot, and needed to get surgery to replace it. I began to wonder if I’d ever walk again.
The team at Martine Center, where I came for my rehab, made it clear that not only would I walk, but I’d be as active as I wanted to be. And let me tell you, the physical and occupational therapists came through for me with flying colors.
More than the medical and therapy staffs, there’s a lot to love about Martine Center. I made fast friends with my roommate. The free Netflix is great. And the strawberry shortcake for dessert was spectacular. I’m back home, my hip is strong, and I’m totally independent. But I still dream about the shortcake!
